I have been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 30 years, my specialist field being that of paediatric neuro-physiotherapy (cerebral palsy in particular). I am qualified as a Senior Bobath Tutor, an active member of the British Association of Bobath Trained Therapists and the European Bobath Tutors’ Association (EBTA) of which I am currently its Secretary.

I worked for 25 years at the Bobath Centre, London, until six years ago. The Bobath Centre is a Centre of Excellence in the field of Cerebral Palsy and Adult Neurology.

Nowadays I work as a freelance lecturer and clinical specialist. I teach nationally and internationally on the treatment of children and adults with cerebral palsy, and have had over 25 years’ experience in setting up and teaching courses to postgraduate therapists and doctors. I write medico-legal reports and am involved in producing assessment reports for Educational Statementing and Tribunals. I also have a clinical caseload.

Six years ago I collaborated in writing a booklet on Risk Assessment/Risk Management for people working within the field of cerebral palsy, and now run workshops on Moving and Handing Risk Assessment.
